Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Releases First Segment of Premiere on YouTube
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. arrives this coming Friday. Check out the first few scenes, including a look at our newest bad guys for the series.
Marvel is dealing with being upstaged today, a rare moment for the Disney franchise. Not only did they release a huge spread in Vanity Fair, kicking off a week of Avengers: Infinity War build-up ahead of Star Wars All-The-Time when December arrives, the opening minutes of this Friday’s upcoming Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. also arrived on YouTube. Unfortunately, the royal palace has other, more pressing concerns, of getting their final royal married off ahead of “the transition.”
It speaks to how large the Disney behemoths of Marvel and Star Wars that it takes the engagement of one of the last of the old royalty to knock their PR off the pages completely. It’s certainly not something that competing studio Warner Brothers could do with the DC films. Instead, they’re spending this week licking their wounds and staring down headlines that ask how they can salvage their franchise.

Marvel might have been planning to release the Infinity War trailer today but at this point, it looks like they’ve smartly delayed it to tomorrow or midweek, once there’s more oxygen in the pop culture sphere again.
But for those tired of wall to wall royal news, consider this a bit of alternative programming. This is the same clip that was shown last month at New York Comic Con, that gives us a look at the events of last season’s finale from a slightly different perspective. (And a glorious use of the Talking Heads song “This Must Be The Place.”) We also get a good look at exactly how our cast responds to discovering themselves in space.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s opening two-hour premiere made up of the back to back episodes “Orientation Parts 1 & 2” will air this coming Friday, December 1st, on ABC at 8 p.m.
