Doctor Who Season 10: "Knock Knock" Preview
This week’s Doctor Who sees the Doctor staying put in our present day time and place, only to find adventure right around the corner.
It looks like this week, the Doctor (and by extension, Bill) are going to be listening to Nardole’s admonishment and stay home for a few days. At least long enough for Bill to move house, and the Doctor to find a brand new adventure that will come crawling out of the woodwork.
Here’s this week’s Synopsis:
Bill is moving in with some friends and they’ve found the perfect house – so what if it’s strangely cheap to rent, and the landlord is a little creepy? The wind blows, the floorboards creak, and the Doctor thinks something is very wrong. What lurks in the strange tower at the heart of the building – and why can’t they find any way to enter it?
“The Landlord” is played by none other than David Suchet, of Poirot fame. He and Capaldi have worked together before, nearly 30 years ago, when the Poirot series was still relatively new, and Capaldi guest starred on it. Both men seemed quite excited to get back together when the casting was announced back last summer. Capaldi also praises Suchet’s performance in the introduction to the episode.
Moffat also plays up the horror aspect in his overview clip:
As usual, the BBC has released two clips of this week’s episode ahead of time. The first features some of the designated victims of this week’s adventure…errr, I mean pearl’s new roommates.
And then the quite possibly most amazing scene ever, as Bill suddenly realizes everyone is going to assume she’s sleeping with her professor.
Love the shout out to Harriet Jones. (We know who she is!)
“Knock Knock” airs tomorrow on BBC One at 7:20pm BST and on BBC America at 9pm EST. Check out the gallery of photos below!
