Daily Kitty is a hardworking Wardrobe Mistress
Although it is mild in the day, at night we have cold and so the natural waterways are frozen to 3 to 5 inches, with not snow cover (which would partially insulate the ice and slow its formation).
So today on the radio people reported skating in the morning followed by golfing in the afternoon. (greens closed and covered).
This is getting creepy.
Boon for those raising stock though as animals consume less feed to keep warm and can still bed out in the fields. Easy to work and check on stock.
And much easier for parents taking out kids as bundle up time is significantly reduced.
I can relate to the creepiness. After living in California, I became hyper-aware of how much precipitation falls during the winter months. I’ve been back on the East Coast for many years now, but lack of snow in the winter freaks me out a little.
As the climate changes, I wonder what the new normal will look like, assuming we’re all around when equilibrium is reached.
Someone just told me he thinks it’s good we’re “having a conversation” around internment and barring Muslims from the US, so that people realize how illegal and wrong it is. Wtf? As far as I’m concerned, having the conversation lends the idea legitimacy. It’s like saying it’s good we’re having a conversation about killing babies – the concept is heinous on its face. We don’t need to “have a conversation” about it to demonstrate it’s wrong.
