I have seen Orson Welles 1940s version which was okay I guess, and Polanski’s 1971 MacBeth was a hot mess. Branagh’s was not really good, but from the trailer I look forward to this.
The original superstition was for actors not to quote or refer to the Scottish Play in a theatre, but we should be safe. My brother, whose opinion of actors was that they couldn’t get out of their own way, and that their main role was to lose the hand props he had build, and wreck the sets, thought they were a silly but friendly lot who got themselves worried to a superstitious frazzle and cause themselves problems.

I’m in. I didn’t care for Polanski’s either, but I did enjoy the PBS Patrick Stewart one, so….tally one seat taken at the theatre.
