Project Runway Season 13: Top Ten Overlooked Outfits
The best way to judge a season of Project Runway is by the overlooked outfits. Some seasons it’s been really easy for me to find ten of them. Other years, it’s a struggle. This season was much like watching the show. There were overlooked outfits, but in general, the feeling I got was meh.
It did interest me though to see who was the most often overlooked. Starting with the very first episode….
What does it say that the first outfit I pulled from this season was Korina?
Nine more, after the jump.
I know the judges declared it to be Angela’s fault, but I actually loved the dress she made on Movie Night….
…which totally went with Sean’s straw dress. The judges were mad they couldn’t give Sean the win for this, but it was Fade’s three layers of different dresses that dragged this team down, not Angela.
I was and am a sucker for Korina’s jackets and vests, like this one from the Suits challenge.
There was a stretch prior to the Fashion Week cut off where Fäde was robbed regularly. First here on the Bottomless Fries* challenge.
Then here on the Heidi Red Carpet challenge.
Then finally here in the Jewelry Challenge.
At least Korina’s made the top for her American Girl outfit. I get why Kini won–it was the thing the store could sell at high mark up. But this was more fun.
I still can’t believe Emily didn’t win for this on the “regular woman we planted in the park” challenge. Her girl rocked it on so many levels.
I understand the show was getting rid of Korina the week this walked, so Emily, as her partner, had to be in the bottom, and her outfits panned. But Nina was wrong. This sweater was total hotness.
So, tallying up the scores it was a tie this year between Korina and Fäde of who was robbed the most, with three outfits each. Emily close behind with two. Sean and Angela squeak in with one each. The more you step back from this season, the more Korina has to be mad about. It’s too bad she wasn’t mature enough to handle it.
Next week, post recap, we’ll review the four finale lines in the order they are eliminated in the final episode.
(*Pour one out for TLo, who have decided after 13 seasons to quit recapping ProjRun. They will be missed.)
